The challenge of deburring in die-cast parts: Beijing Steel's CNC flexible solution improves yield rate

2026-10-19 views:8

After demolding, aluminum alloy die-cast parts produce a large amount of burrs and edges at the parting surface and gate locations. Manual cleaning is inefficient, leading to significant product quality fluctuations. Beijing Steel CNC has developed a customized robotic deburring automation solution specifically for die-cast parts, addressing the pain points of burr removal in the die-casting industry.

Beijing Steel CNC Robot Deburring Solution, equipped with a self-developed flexible robotic grinding head featuring 360-degree adaptive floating capability, automatically compensates for die-cast blank tolerances. When encountering unevenly thick flash edges, the grinding force is automatically adjusted to prevent damage to thin-walled areas of the die-cast parts, ensuring consistent deburring results for every workpiece.

The workstation supports mixed-line production of die-cast parts in multiple specifications. Product changes require only switching process formulas, enabling rapid production transitions. The system is equipped with a closed dust collection device to gather aluminum dust, mitigating the risk of dust explosions in the workshop and improving the working environment for employees. The entire system can operate continuously 24/7, significantly boosting production capacity.

Clients can send die-cast part samples to Beijing Steel CNC Laboratory for free robotic deburring testing, allowing them to visually inspect the edge removal effect. Engineers will develop a comprehensive solution based on production cycle time and yield rate targets, providing on-site installation, debugging, and operation training services to assist die-casting plants in achieving automated deburring transformation.
